Donal Coghlan has a track record of success in business management gained from over thirty years of experience in Ireland and abroad in the public, private and voluntary sectors and in particular the Credit Union sector.
He is an internationally recognised credit union specialist who has been to the forefront of major transformation of the Irish Credit Union movement over the last 20 years. During his career Donal has served as: -
- CEO of the Credit Union Restructuring Board (ReBo)
- General Manager of St. Patrick’s ESB Staff Credit Union (Now Savvi Credit Union)
- Head of Credit Union Services with Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland
- Senior Regulator within Registrar of Credit Unions (RCU) in the Central Bank
- Volunteer Director with Dundrum Credit Union (Now Capital Credit Union)
Donal established CU Services in 2020 to provide business and management consultancy services to credit unions and support them in the setting up of Credit Union Service Organisations (CUSO). While a Chartered Accountant, Donal also holds Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and Accredited Fund Professional designations with the Institute of Bankers. Donal is also a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner bringing professional project management experience to any assignment.
